This degree plan includes the 38 hours of general education requirements generally completed during the first two years of a fouryear educational program, along with 25 hours in child development/early childhood courses. Students completing the Associate in Science Degree may transfer to any senior-level state institution and expect to find their lower division general education requirements satisfied. The Nursing Program is designed for the student who plans to enter the job force immediately. After successful completion of the required curriculum, you will receive an Associate in Applied Science Degree, which prepares you for the registered nurse licensure exam. The program consists of a prerequisite semester in which students must have completed all prerequisite courses prior to admission to the nursing program.
