Associate in Arts

 Degree In

Liberal Arts [06200]

The liberal arts degree is designed for the student who plans to transfer to a four-year institution to complete a bachelor's degree upon completion of the associate of arts degree. In addition to the general education requirements for most bachelor's degrees, the program provides a broad background in the liberal arts area. A student completing the associate of arts degree may transfer to any senior-level state institution and expect to find their lower division requirements satisfied. Because departmental requirements vary somewhat at different senior colleges, the student is strongly urged to consult the catalog of the transfer college or university and a faculty advisor. The liberal arts degree is suitable for students who desire to seek a degree in liberal arts, education, English, communications and many other majors as well.
